Fancy Bathroom Accessories To Discuss With Your Contractor

When you are in the process of renovating your home's master bathroom, and you are planning on what to discuss with your bathroom contractor, it is a good idea to create a list of some fancy bath accessories you might want to install. This is the best time to talk about all of the lavish bathroom ideas that you might want to have installed. You can plan out the various installation ideas and then have your contractor show you the different mock ups and how the bathroom will look with different configurations. Here are couple of different looks to choose from.

Heated Bathroom Floors

If you feel that it's always freezing when you step out of the shower or tub, then you should look into getting heated bathroom floors. These are great because they can be installed underneath new tile and will create a warm floor that also looks great. Tiles look beautiful, but if they are not heated with a heating element installed underneath, then they can be tremendously cold. So, speak to your contractor and ask them about how they might install new heating elements. This is perfect if you happen to be tearing out the old tile and installing new tiles.

A Waterfall Shower

Another really cool bathroom accessory is a really fancy waterfall shower. This is perfect if you've got a large walk in shower with a fancy spa like look. It will transform your entire bathroom into something that is something straight out of a luxury hotel. You should speak to your bathroom contractor about how to install it as these fixtures are very particular and you don't want to attempt to install them yourself, especially if you need to reroute plumbing.

A Bidet

If you are getting a new toilet installed, or simply renovating your bathroom to have all of the modern fixtures, then you should definitely look into getting a bidet installed. These are wonderful devices and you can ask your contractor about hooking one up to your existing toilet. They require you to tap into the water line, which is a tricky procedure, so make sure to consult your contractor about the proper method and how it will be installed. If you are choosing a new toilet, take this into consideration and also think about the placement of the toilet as the bidet might have to be connected to a water source away from the toilet (such as the warm water pipe).

About Me

Dump Trucks, Bulldozers and Cranes, Oh My!

Welcome to my blog. I'm Kara Montgomery. My entire life, I have had an obsession with construction. When I was a little girl, I had a whole set of construction equipment toys I'd play with. As I got older, I read so many books on construction. Even though I didn't follow construction as a career path, this has continued to be something I'm interested in and I thought it'd be fun to create a little blog that covers various construction topics. There is really no specific construction topic this blog will cover, so anyone who has an interest in the construction industry will find something of use.
